Silhouettes of Ried residents and the sounds of the present-day town accompany you on your tour of the exhibition. The walls show the names of 74 prominent figures from Ried. You’ll find their dates on the grey stripe on the floor. 18 profile boxes provide you with more detailed information about distinguished people from Ried.
A time line stretches around the screen, giving key historical dates, from the first mention of Ried in writing in 1136 to the present day.
The events centre was built in 2003; since then, a lift has ensured that the whole of the museum area is accessible. The exhibition about the history of the town is accessible by touch for people who are blind or visually impaired.
