Kein Wunder, dass er in den 1930er-Jahren umbenannt wurde. W\u00e4hrend des Austrofaschismus und nach dem Anschluss an das Deutsche Reich trug er die Namen der jeweiligen Machthaber. Nach dem 2. Weltkrieg bekam der Hauptplatz endlich seinen urspr\u00fcnglichen Namen zur\u00fcck.<\/p><p>Der Dietmarbrunnen teilt den Hauptplatz in einen unteren und einen oberen Bereich. Der untere Platz ist der traditionelle Marktplatz.<\/p><p>B\u00fcrgerh\u00e4user im Inn-Salzach-Stil s\u00e4umen den leicht geschwungenen Platz. Viele davon haben eine gotische oder fr\u00fchbarocke Kernarchitektur. Die Hausfassaden sind \u00fcber die Giebel hochgezogen und oben gerade abgeschlossen. Sie sollen zusammen mit Feuermauern zwischen den H\u00e4usern verhindern, dass Funken von Dach zu Dach \u00fcberspringen. Vor 200 Jahren wurde ein Teil des Wohlstands in repr\u00e4sentative Fassaden investiert.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\">Handwerker wie Lebzelter, Leinenh\u00e4ndler, Goldschmiede, Bierbrauer, Lederer, K\u00fcrschner und Handelsh\u00e4user waren hier ans\u00e4ssig.
