Er soll in einem alten Sakristeischrank die ber\u00fchmte Schutzmantelmadonna wiederentdeckt haben. Heute wird diese Gregor Erhart zugeschrieben. Das war vielleicht das Schl\u00fcsselerlebnis f\u00fcr seine Sammelt\u00e4tigkeit, die sp\u00e4testens mit dem Jahr 1909 einsetzte, als er Pfarrer von St. Pantaleon im s\u00fcdlichen Innviertel wurde. Pfarrer Veichtlbauer war Stammkunde bei den Salzburger Tr\u00f6dlern und Antiquit\u00e4tenh\u00e4ndlern. Er sammelte \u00fcberall, damit \u201edie Dinge der Heimat nicht verloren gehen\u201c. Er war stolz, dass er f\u00fcr all seine Sammelgegenst\u00e4nde bezahlt hatte und f\u00fchrte dar\u00fcber einen genauen Katalog. 1933 stiftete er seine Sammlung mit mehr als 5.500 Objekten und rund 30.000 Andachtsbildern der Stadt Ried. Er gr\u00fcndete dadurch das Museum Innviertler Volkskundehaus. Bis zu seinem Tod am 12. April 1939 lebte Pfarrer Veichtlbauer im Volkskundehaus und betreute seine stetig wachsende Sammlung.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element
